Your accounts, documents, crypto, and memories should outlive you on your terms — reaching the people you trust without ever passing through a company that can read them.

Our mission is simple: make secure digital inheritance something an ordinary family can actually use. We combine zero-knowledge encryption, verifiable Protection Check-Ins, and least-privilege access so that the right people gain access at the right moment — and no one, including us, gains it before then.

Why we exist

Digital lives disappear when people can't reach them

When someone dies or becomes incapacitated, their digital life often becomes unreachable overnight. Bank and brokerage logins, tax and property documents, self-custodied crypto, years of photos and correspondence — locked behind passwords and second factors that no one else has.

The tools that promise to help usually solve the problem by making it worse: they ask you to hand a company your secrets in plaintext, so it can pass them on later. That is a single point of catastrophic failure, and it means trusting a provider — and every future employee, acquirer, and subpoena — with the keys to your entire life.

Our answer

Zero-knowledge inheritance

Your vault contents and documents are encrypted on your own device before they reach us. We store the encrypted result and the rules you set. The keys that decrypt it are derived from your passphrase on your device and are not sent to us.

You keep your protection current with periodic check-ins. If, and only if, multiple independent signals confirm you can no longer respond, we release the encrypted key-shares your nominees need to recover exactly what you granted them.

You never surrender control while you live. We never gain it at all.

The commitments we build against

Every feature we ship has to answer to these. If a shortcut would compromise one of them, we don't take it.

Zero-knowledge by design

Your vault is encrypted on your device before it ever reaches us. We store its ciphertext, never its plaintext, so a breach of our servers cannot expose what you protect.

You hold the keys

Your master password derives the keys that unlock your vault. It is not sent to us and there is no server-side copy to reset — if you lose it, armed recovery is the only way back. Control stays with you, not with a company.

Least-privilege access

Nominees receive only the specific key-shares they need, only after your rules are met. No standing access, no blanket permissions, no surprises.

Multi-signal verification

We never release anything on a single missed check-in. Inheritance triggers only after multiple independent signals converge on a verified event.

Built for families

The hardest moments should not require a cryptography degree. We designed the nominee experience to be humane, guided, and clear under pressure.

How we're different

Not a password manager. Not a will service.

We sit in the gap they leave open — releasing access under verified conditions, without ever being able to read what we release.

Password managers keep your secrets, but they were never built to hand them to the right people when you are gone.

LifeWyn is inheritance-first: encrypted key-shares are released to your nominees under conditions you define.

Traditional will and legacy services ask you to deposit your logins and documents with them — trusting a third party with plaintext access.

Your vault reaches us as ciphertext and its decryption keys are never sent to us, so a legal demand for its contents reaches encrypted bytes. Your account and nominee contact details are held readable and could be produced.

Ad-hoc plans — a note in a drawer, a shared password — fail silently and leak quietly.

Rules, Protection Check-Ins, and multi-signal verification make the release deliberate, auditable, and revocable while you live.
